Short messages are sent just when neeeded because things are time sensitive. You can receive them by SMS/Text or Email.
How frequently are messages sent?
Usually there won’t be much that needs to be sent out to this list, so you may only get a few alerts a year. But if there is a disease outbreak or a disaster communications may be more frequent.
Will I see everyone’s replies and comments?
No. Communications are one-way. You will only receive the approved alerts.
How do I sign-up?
Use the form below. Note that we will send you a confirmation email and won’t send any messages until you have responded. This is to satisfy the standards for adding members to a list.
Can I choose SMS/Text or Email?
Yes – when you sign-up you can choose how you prefer to receive the messages.
Who writes and sends the alerts?
The alerts will be scheduled and written under the oversight of the NYSVMS Production Animal Committee. They will be sent out by the staff at the NYSVMS HQ.
Can I unsubscribe?
Yes. Every message will have an unsubscribe link.
